The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Fighters Party

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring divine entities, demons, and dark forces increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to undertake their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might look unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the story’s plot—used the foes for his own means, entering the secret base, striking the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then paid off his obligations and fled to a secure base in the remote area, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, desires vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the region and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could enable the party access areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern the city for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the family.

This means them few options but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Explorers and Schemers parties.

Viewers can anticipate finding out which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on October 24.
